APPLICATION
These
pumps are suitable for pumping clear liquids, from
tube-wells, open-wells, reservoirs and for sprinkler
installations. These are also suitable for handling boiler
feed water, fuel oil, condensate and other liquid
containing fumes.
CONSTRUCTION
The
standard construction is horizontal foot mounted design,
single or multistage radially split with intermediate
casing clamped together by external tie-bolts and sealed
with gaskets.
BEARINGS
Bearings
are enclosed in two bearing housing one on each side.
SUCTION AND DELI EVERY NOZZLES:
The standard design is Vertical Delivery and suction
nozzles in round flanges.
DRIVE
The prime mover is directly connected to the pump through
a flexible coupling. The direction of rotation is
clockwise as viewed from the driving end
DIRECTION OF ROTATION
The direction of rotation is clockwise as viewed from the
coupling end
SEALING ARRANGEMENTS
Conventional soft graphite lubricated asbestos packed stuffing boxes are
incorporated on either side of the pump. The shaft
is fitted with renewable shaft sleeve in the region of the
stuffing boxes, which protects the shaft from wear due to
packing. This standard construction is recommended for
operating temperature up to 90ºc.
DESIGN
These pumps incorporate one stage of regenerative type
impellers. This makes them suitable for lifting liquids
from a depth of 8 meters, to handle partial vapors.
